  • Communications: any emails or messages you send us.

2.2 Information About Third Parties

Our service involves creating songs about people you tell us about ("Song Subjects"). You may provide us with personal information about Song Subjects including their name, personality traits, life stories, relationships, and other biographical details. By providing this information, you represent that you have a legitimate basis for sharing it and accept responsibility for doing so. See Section 4 of our Terms of Service.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our Site, we may automatically collect:

  • Analytics data: page views, referral sources, browser type, device type, and general geographic location (country/region level). This is collected through Vercel Analytics and does not include personally identifying information;
  • Log data: IP addresses, access times, and pages visited, as collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) in the normal course of serving web pages.

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We do not use third-party advertising pixels or trackers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and deliver your custom Song(s);
  • Communicate with you about your order, including delivery updates, revision requests, and questions about the details you provided;
  • Process payments through Stripe;
  • Submit Songs to streaming platforms if you purchase the streaming distribution add-on;
  • Improve our services and Site;
  • Comply with legal obligations;
  • Respond to your inquiries.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:

  • Payment processor (Stripe): to process your payment securely;
  • Streaming platforms: if you purchase the streaming distribution add-on, we submit song metadata (song title, artist name) to streaming platforms. Your personal contact information is not shared with streaming platforms;
  • Hosting provider (Vercel): our Site is hosted on Vercel, which processes server logs in the normal course of operation;
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

5. Data Retention

We retain your order information and Customer Content for as long as necessary to fulfill your order and provide ongoing services (such as maintaining streaming distribution). After your order is complete:

  • Contact information: retained for customer support and records;
  • Order details and stories: retained as part of the creative record for the Song;
  • Audio files: retained in our archive for redelivery if needed;
  • Payment records: retained as required for tax and accounting purposes.

You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@biographysongs.com. We will comply with your request subject to any legal obligations requiring us to retain certain records.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we take commercially reasonable steps to protect your data.

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Songs may be ordered about children (e.g., a song for a child's birthday), but the ordering party must be an adult. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
